Eight new ambassadors champion organic wellbeing

During Organic Beauty & Wellbeing Week event hosted at Blomma Beauty eight new ambassadors were announced by Soil Association Certification to champion the benefits of natural and organic cosmetics.

Spanning nutritionists, journalists, make-up artists (MUAs), brand founders and influencers, the line-up was ‘carefully chosen’ from public nominations for their ongoing commitment to certified natural and organic products.

“I am really excited to finally announce who our chosen ambassadors are,” says Paige Tracey, partnerships manager, beauty and wellness at Soil Association Certification. “The cosmetics industry does not have the same protections for the term ‘organic’ as food and drink, and products can use this label – as well as the label ‘natural’ – with minimal organic or natural ingredients. Many products labelled in this way also still contain controversial synthetic ingredients that consumers strive to avoid, such as parabens and phthalates, as well as microplastics.”

“That is why it is so important that consumers know to look for the Soil Association COSMOS Organic or Natural logo to guarantee the provenance of the ingredients, as well as avoiding greenwashing and potential toxins. I am so glad this group of influential figures from beauty and wellness can now raise awareness of our standards and push for a more sustainable industry.”
