Bira sends Valentine’s message to shoppers
The British Independent Retailers Association (Bira) has launched its second annual campaign for Valentine’s Day to boost support for the High Street.
Bira, which works with over 6,000 independent UK businesses, is sending a message to consumers this Valentine’s Day to ‘show some love’ to their local shops through its #LoveYourHighStreet slogan.
A champion of High Street shopping for over 120 years, Bira is urging independent retailers to engage with the campaign and ‘seize the opportunity presented by the first seasonal event of the year’.
Having curated a comprehensive bundle of print and digital resources, the Association is encouraging all stores – whether Bira members or not – to download its posters, flyers and social media assets for placement in windows, on counters, in shopping bags and across Facebook and Instagram in February.
“Irrespective of your business’s scale, the nature of your offerings or your geographical location, there has never been a more crucial moment to inspire your customers to support local shopping, in-person and virtually online,” says Bira.
Andrew Goodacre, CEO of Bira, adds: “Valentine’s Day marks a pivotal moment in the … calendar for retailers, and this campaign aims to empower them to market themselves more effectively than ever before.”
