NATRUE launches Natural Cosmetics Week

‘Embrace Nature, Empower Your Skin’ is the slogan for the inaugural edition of Natural Cosmetics Week, a global initiative led by NATRUE to build on the success of last year’s International Day of Natural Cosmetics.

Running from 23-29 November, Natural Cosmetics Week seeks to ‘raise awareness about the benefits — for both people and planet — of natural cosmetics and encourage a deeper commitment to sustainability within the beauty industry’, with Mark Smith, NATRUE’s director general, calling it a chance to ‘inspire and motivate both the beauty industry and consumers to embrace natural products’.

NATRUE’s intention for the theme, ‘Embrace Nature, Empower Your Skin’, is to ‘underscore the significance of natural and organic ingredients in beauty products and the role of sustainability in our industry’.

The awareness week acts as an invitation across the board — from brands and retailers to end users — to not only celebrate the power of nature in the context of beauty, but to ‘participate in creating innovative campaigns that align with this theme’.

#ChooseTrueBeauty

A full-scale social media campaign will run throughout Natural Cosmetics Week, adopting the hashtags #ChooseTrueBeauty and #NaturalCosmeticsWeek.

Among the proposed activities are: brand campaigns through which established and challenger beauty brands can showcase their commitment to natural cosmetics via bespoke promotional activities; workshops and educational webinars which focus on the benefits of natural ingredients; opening up company doors for behind-the-scenes access to production areas, highlighting sustainable practices; and digital discussions to explore the latest trends within sustainable beauty.

“Natural cosmetics are more than just a trend — they represent a significant shift towards healthier, more sustainable living. By choosing natural products, consumers are not only looking after their own wellbeing but also supporting environmentally responsible practices,” comments NATRUE.
